REVIVED - Silver and Silk Stitched Earrings MMRV04

A salvaged, damaged old silver-plate dish has been reimagined into imperfect discs. Hand-sawn, hand-drilled and hand-knotted, this pendant / these earrings are each one of a kind. The original patina of the silverware has been preserved, so minor blemishes are intended. The earrings are on purpose made sterling silver hooks, with a drop of around 54mm. The discs are roughly 25mm diameter. The silk is in knotted tufts, through small drilled holes, showing knots one side, and tufts the other. The discs can be reversed if desired. There is a matching pendant available under separate listing. The REVIVED range rescues perfectly imperfect pieces from the past, turning them into something unique to wear that celebrates the origin and life of the piece. Using silk, linen, leather, beads, old findings, stones and silver, the designer develop to suit the piece and reveal it’s former life. All one-of-a-kind, all hand revived by us in Paddington.
